As the site of several past National Championships and the last five Eastern States Singles, the Greenwich Country Club is excited to continue to host the only national ranking singles tournament in the country. The tournament draws from a number of states and has included players from age 14 to their 60s. The draw includes nationally ranked players, as well as those who make their mark in their club scrambles and local team matches. This uniquely broad mix of players illustrates the universal appeal that is one of the tournament's key attributes.
Singles has a long history in the sport of platform tennis, with the first National Championships played alongside the first doubles championships in 1935. Our efforts are supported by a number of organizations, including the APTA, leading platform tennis manufacturers, a number of the leading doubles players in the country, past Singles Champions, and others who appreciate the excitement, athleticism, pace and enjoyment of singles paddle. Once you have played it, you will truly grow to love it – it also may be the best thing that ever happened to your doubles game. From top tournament players to local club athletes, the Eastern States is the perfect start to another exciting season.

Men and Women are welcome to register, and we have had many women in the draw over the years. Should there be sufficient interest, we will provide an additional women's draw.
SINGLES RULES: Rules for singles are the same as doubles, with three exceptions:
1. Each player receives two serves.
2. No-ad scoring is used throughout – receiver chooses which side to receive at 3-all.
3. The singles sidelines are used.
LUNCH/FAVORS: Lunch is included on Saturday, and, as always, the best tourney mementos in the business for each participant. Sizes will be set aside for early registrants as long as what you choose is available - sign up right away to ensure the right "fit".
